Warman's Barn is a gorgeous converted barn not far from Stansted. It's a family-run hotel which is especially suitable as a getaway for couples, or an overnight stop for business travellers, however it doesn't allow under 18s. Don't forget to stop and pet the hotel's resident cat, Marmaduke, before you head off to the airport.

Transfers to the airport are by taxi and cost £4.50 per person one way, or £13 return.
The rustic rooms are comforting and clean, and each is equipped with freeview TV, table, a wardrobe with extra sheets and pillows and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There's also free wifi available throughout the hotel to keep you connected.
Warman's Barn doesn't have its own on-site restaurant, but fear not - the Ash gastropub just over the road is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few pints or a pre-flight meal. Food is served from Monday to Thursday from 11am to 9.30pm, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 10pm.
