East Midlands Airport has now won five top travel awards for 2007 after collecting the award for 'Airport of the Year' at the British Travel Awards.
The prestigious award was voted for by an independent panel of experts and recognises how the regional hub encourages growth and supports charter options, processes passengers through the terminal, work with and support the Travel Trade and deal with their growth in a way that's responsible to the environment.
At this year's Travel Weekly Globe Awards East Midlands Airport was named Best Regional Airport and World's Leading Eco Friendly Airport at the World Travel Awards along with wins at the 2007 Star Awards for Best UK Regional Airport and Best Airport at the Balitc Air Charter Awards. A very rewarding year for the airport.
