BAA Heathrow Airport is experiencing trouble with the baggage system at Terminal 4.
A BAA Spokesperson has stated: "The performance of the Terminal 4 baggage system has today been reduced by an ongoing software problem. Whilst every effort is being made to rectify the problem over night and contingency plans have been put in place, there is a risk that operations out of Terminal 3 may be affected."
BAA have advised passengers flying through Terminal 4 today (20th February) to check with their airlines before heading to the airport to better understand the potential impact on their travel plans. BAA have also advised to consider minimising the amount of hold luggage they check in.
