Dedicated, non-stop rail service between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport is set to upgrade its videowall advertising format by installing the first ever LED lighting system in Europe.
Installation work commenced in late October as a total of 360 LED bars are being installed in a 450m stretch of the tunnel following the success of the current motion picture video wall advertising. Advertisers will be offered greater flexibility over the frequency of creative change, enabling up to four different adverts an hour aimed at different target audiences.
With excellent recall rates and offering great value to advertisers, in-tunnel advertising offers the ability to entertain and interact with its audience delivering 15 second long adverts.
Commercial Manager at Heathrow Express, Graeme Hay stated that "Motion picture video wall advertising opened up and entirely new way to advertise to Heathrow Express customers." On the new LED installation Mr Hay went on to comment that it will "upgrade the quality of service we can provide to those who choose to advertise with us, enabling them to effectively target multiple audiences from the same site."
Carrying an average of 15,000 passengers every day, the Heathrow Express was recently saved from a proposed closure. Heathrow Express will be working with Canadian company Side Track Technologies Inc.
