Robin Hood Airport at Doncaster is the newest purpose-built international airport in the UK. Formerly RAF Finningley, Robin Hood Airport was formally converted to a commercial airfield in 1999. After massive investment by the Peel Airports Group, Robin Hood airport is now equipped to cater for 2.3 million passengers.
Robin Hood Airport is situated roughly 6 miles south-east from Doncaster and 18 miles east from Sheffield. The airport is easily accessible from the M1 and A1. Simply exit the A1 at J34 and join the M18, exit that at J4 and follow the signs for the airport.
