Disabled travellers at Edinburgh Airport will find an array of facilities available to make their journey easier, including assistance with Edinburgh airport parking.
Disabled passengers carrying blue badges are given 15 minutes free access to any Edinburgh Airports. All car parks have wide disabled parking bays and are well signposted to direct you to these spaces. At the short stay car park, telephone assistance points are located near allocated spaces. Wheel chair assistance can be arranged through this phone. The Edinburgh airport long stay parking option also has designated spaces. Call 0844 335 1000 to arrange for disabled airport parking assistance in advance.
Both Park and Fly parking and Flying Scot parking use transfer buses which are wheelchair accessible. Staff are on-hand to assist you if needed.
Park and Fly also offer a Meet and Greet service which is great if your mobility is restricted or you would simply find it easier to exit your own vehicle directly outside the airport. With Park and Fly Meet and Greet, you can drive straight to the terminal and meet their chauffeur driver who will take your car to the car park while you make your way to check-in.
Once you are inside the airport there are help points available. Help points can be found at the drop-off zones for buses, taxis and private vehicles, and in the arrivals halls. Help points (marked with yellow signs) are equipped with telephones or assistance buttons for use exclusively by people with special needs.
You should leave plenty of time to get through check in and security. If you have any special requirements for the flight, you should contact the airport well in advance of your flight.
